The office manager is the first point of contact for HDC’s clients, providing customer service and coordination. The office manager is responsible for keeping the HDC office running smoothly, providing administrative assistance to the executive director, as well as providing overall administrative support to the office. In addition to managing office technology, they provide staff with troubleshooting assistance on technology issues and advise leadership on technology solutions.

Be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and solve problems expeditiously.
Demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional proficiency with Windows-based word processing and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Office Suite).
Up-to-date knowledge of office technology and basic tech trouble-shooting skills
Maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license and meet Housing Development Center’s minimum auto insurance requirements
Have access to a car for work-related driving.
Be able to lift 50 pounds and perform basic handy-person tasks, such as assembling and arranging office furniture.
Serve as the main contact point for the office.
Stock/organize supplies and materials.
Serve as primary liaison with property management.
Manage maintenance of all office equipment.
Manage executive director’s schedule.
Provide as-needed assistance with correspondence, travel logistics and other matters.
Program and Project Assistance
Coordinate catering, location booking and other aspects of special events and trainings.
Provide administrative support and project coordination for funding applications, milestone events and other projects.
Plan and coordinate travel logistics for staff.
Coordinate scheduling of meetings and events.
Monitor media for housing and equity related content and distribute to staff.
Desired Functions (Preferred, but not required)
Manage office systems, including setting up and maintaining staff work stations and managing maintenance of telephone system and photocopier.
Plan, budget for, and implement technology procurement and upgrades.
Provide basic tech support for HDC staff.
Perform basic maintenance of office equipment.
Salary range: $45,000 to $55,000 (negotiable)
Benefits include medical, dental and vision, with coverage for spouse/domestic partner for $200/month employee copay and full family coverage for $300/month copay; employer contributions to 401(k) retirement account equal to 6% of salary; life/STD/LTD insurance; and vacation and sick leave.
