Lydia Slocum, Finance Project Manager
Lydia Slocum draws on her background in architecture, historic preservation, and sustainable community development to assess, prepare, and monitor development finance for nonprofit clients. As finance project manager for HDC, Lydia assists clients to develop projects that meet the needs of their communities, providing feasibility assessment, budget and pro forma development, and financial structuring, using varied public and private funding sources. Lydia serves on HDC’s equity team, a cross-departmental group responsible for assuring that HDC’s organizational policies and culture reflect principles of equity and inclusion; and she is participating in an intensive equity-and-inclusion facilitation training. Prior to joining HDC in 2014, Lydia worked as a historic preservation project associate with the Preservation Research Office of St. Louis, Missouri, and as an architectural designer and sustainable design consultant with Hellmuth and Bicknese Architects in St. Louis. Lydia holds a B.A. in architecture, with a second major in Spanish, from Washington University in St. Louis.
