Philip Dochow, Senior Finance Project Manager

Philip Dochow brings more than 30 years of experience in affordable housing finance and construction to his work structuring and managing complex transactions. As senior finance project manager for HDC, Philip supports clients’ needs throughout the development process, from assessing project feasibility through closing multisource funding agreements. Since joining HDC in 2007, Philip has overseen the development and preservation of more than 1,000 units of affordable housing and numerous nonprofit community facilities, with total development costs exceeding $180 million. Philip has experience accessing and using affordable housing financing sources including low-income-housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, new-markets tax credits, and HOME, CDBG, Section 8, HUD 202/811 and other state, local, and federal funds. Philip’s experience in housing development includes serving as director of HDC’s housing development program from 2007 to 2014; owning and managing a construction firm; and serving as a development project manager and interim executive director for nonprofit Mission Housing Development Corporation in San Francisco.
