Camela Raymond, Communications Coordinator

Camela Raymond works with HDC’s internal teams to support and craft communications that raise awareness, build connection, and motivate action. A member of HDC’s administrative team since 2012, Camela manages print and digital marketing and supports fund development and strategic communications. She recently led HDC’s rebrand. Previously Camela has worked as an independent communications consultant, freelance writer, magazine editor, arts rag publisher, and project assistant to affordable-housing development teams. While working at HDC in 2016 and 2017, she coordinated a university-sponsored project to convene partners across sectors to support inclusive, informed public conversations about Portland’s housing crisis. Camela has a bachelor’s degree in modern culture and media from Brown University and has studied creative writing at Portland State University and elsewhere.
