HDC welcomes Maryam Alshaiji Hill as Associate Asset Management Project Manager!
Joining HDC as associate asset management project manager in June, Maryam Alshaiji Hill dove headfirst into her role supporting HDC’s four-person asset management team and managing claims processing for the RLRA Risk Mitigation Program and the Portland Risk Mitigation Pool. She processed dozens of claims in her first month and is already an indispensable member of our team. She is working toward her Asset Management Specialist certificate through the Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM) and is using her love of analytics to support HDC’s asset management team in its client work. We are thrilled to welcome Maryam to HDC!
More about Maryam: Maryam’s work in affordable housing is fueled by a passion for addressing systemic inequities and a love for solving analytic problems. Maryam supports HDC’s asset management team to build the capacity of affordable housing owners to oversee the health of their portfolios. She also manages claims processing for the RLRA Risk Mitigation Program and the Portland Risk Mitigation Pool, programs operated by Clackamas County, Washington County, Multnomah County, and the City of Portland that provide financial incentives to landlords that rent homes to people at risk of homelessness. Maryam earned her Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) from Portland State University in 2025; as her capstone project, she led programming and document design for a student housing development project. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oregon State University and has worked as a project analyst for Twinsworld, an architectural and engineering firm in Salmiya, Kuwait.
