Samuel Yerke, Construction Project Manager
Samuel Yerke enjoys working with people in different circles to create human-centered, regenerative spaces—and to align the many connected pieces that make a project successful. As a construction project manager at HDC, Samuel supports mission-driven owners to plan and coordinate real estate development projects, collaborating with project teams to achieve his clients’ goals. Samuel is an experienced project manager and architect registered in Oregon who brings expertise in affordable housing development, multifamily housing and commercial building design, and owner-consultant coordination. Prior to joining HDC in 2026, Samuel worked as a construction project manager with the Vancouver Housing Authority in Vancouver, Wash., managing $80 million in completed affordable housing construction and shelter renovation projects during his four-year tenure—including Fourth Plains Commons, finalist for the Urban Land Institute Terwilliger Center Award Innovation in Attainable Housing. Samuel previously worked in design and project management roles for Hacker Architects, DECA Architecture, and Ankrom Moisan Architects. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Oregon and received training in relational organizing with the Leaven Land and Housing Coalition. He serves on the Board for the Leaven Community Center.
