Synkai Harrison, Finance Project Manager, MRED, LEED AP
Synkai Harrison leverages his experience in real estate finance and construction to find creative development solutions that provide healthy, energy efficient homes for all communities. As finance project manager for HDC, Synkai manages collaborative processes to ensure development projects proceed from design to completion in alignment with his clients’ goals. Synkai brings more than 15 years of experience in affordable housing and commercial development and ecological urban planning to his work at HDC. Prior to joining HDC in September 2022, Synkai analyzed and delivered affordable housing development finance packages as an analyst at PNC, an industry-leading national provider of tax credit solutions. Previously, as a program and operations manager with Sustainable Atlanta from 2009 to 2013, Synkai spearheaded the Greater Atlanta EcoDistrict Initiative, which led to the creation of five major ecodistricts in greater Atlanta, Georgia; and facilitated stakeholder outreach to educate, inform, and build consensus around policy and programming related to sustainable building and energy code compliance. As a commercial and residential construction project manager Synkai has managed projects ranging from single family homes to capital improvement projects in excess of $30 million. Synkai holds a Master of Real Estate Development from Portland State University and a bachelor’s in economics from Morehouse College. He is a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C), a member of the Urban Land Institute, and a member of the Green Building Interest Group Committee of the International Living Futures Institute.
